What do you think of when you think of “customer service”? Hanging on the phone for minutes until you are helped, when you have to listen to James Blunt? Then you have never spoken to the customer service agents of KLM! They can’t wait to help travelers with questions about their KLM journey. Are you also full of energy, wanderlust and customer-friendliness? Then become a travel troubleshooter at KLM!

As a customer service representative, you are the ears and voice of KLM. You assist travel agencies on the phone with their questions about bookings, flights, luggage, upgrades, our Flying Blue loyalty program or special requests (“How many bowling balls can I check in?” -> True story!). Finding a quick and suitable solution for every problem is your game. And if possible, you take that extra step to exceed passengers’ expectations.

To help you get a flying start, you’ll begin with a three-week online training. You must be available full-time during this period. After your training you can always count on your colleagues for questions or help; our troubleshooters are also here for you!

The departement is open everyday from 07:00 – 22:00. Thus, the working hours will vary between these days and hours, this means that you need to be flexibel. In the future nightshifts will be added. This is a job for 32 or 40 hours a week.

The KLM customer service is part of the Cygnific organization, they also provide customer service for other organizations, such as Rituals & G-Star RAW. Cygnific is an innovative company with an emphasis on providing the ultimate customer experience, in line with the vision of the brand it represents. Their goal is to become the most personalized customer service in the world. You work together with international colleagues. They are based in Amsterdam and Enschede, but also have offices in 35 other countries.

  • You are available for 32 or 40 hours
  • Experience in working in a call center or customer service
  • You have a diploma of at least a secondary vocational education or higher education
  • Fluent in German and English
    • You have a passion for travel, talent for teamwork and an international outlook
    • You are flexible, service-oriented, creative and have a sense of humor
  • Your monthly salary is €2,025 gross (based on 40 hours a week)
  • Your hourly salary is €11.68 gross
  • In addition, you get 25 vacation days and 8.33% vacation pay
  • A travel allowance of €0.15 per kilometer or the costs of public transport
    • Directly on contract with Cygnific
    • An irregularity allowance
    • Additional training and the opportunity to develop further
    • Ability to work from home several days a week. You can also work at the office in Amsterdam or Enschede
    • Social events (if the situation around COVID-19 allows) such as an annual Christmas party, the famous Cygnific BBQs and a Friday afternoon snack XXL every three months
