As a Customer Service Agent, you are the ears and voice of KLM.

The following will consist of your activities:

  • You answer incoming questions from Travel agents, via telephone and e-mail. The questions are mainly about existing and new bookings and you will provide information to them about flights, tickets, fares and upgrades
  • You guide and help them navigate through the different sources of information to arrive at an answer You formulate and reformulate customer problems/questions to understand what the customer really means/wants
  • You de-escalate customer complaints by looking for a solution that serves the interests of both KLM and the customer

In short, you quickly find a suitable solution for every problem, where possible you take that extra step to exceed the expectations of the travel agencies.

This is a job for 32 or 40 hours a week. Cygnific/KLM offers a 24/7 service. However, for this role you will be working from Monday till Friday between 09:00 till 18:00.

Before you start working independently, you will receive a paid virtual training, which will start on the 15th of February. The training will be the first 8 weeks (Monday to Friday from 09:00 – 17:30), the last week of which is a so-called Coaching corner, where an experienced colleague will guide you. During the training, the technical systems are extensively discussed.

The training will be completely virtual. After that you are expected at the office in Amsterdam or Enschede for at least 3 days a week.

KLM customer service has been placed with the Cygnific organisation, which also provides customer service for other organisations, such as Rituals. Cygnific is a proud daughter of KLM. Their 1,500 high flyers from 36 different countries contribute to this every day. In 18 different languages, they offer 24/7 service with a smile to passengers and travel agents via email, telephone, live chat, social media and WhatsApp. Not only in Amsterdam and Enschede; their wings also spread to England, Albania, India and the Philippines.

  • You master the Dutch & English language in word and writing. You also speak Spanish, Swedish, French, Norwegian or German!
  • You are available for the full-time (paid virtual) training starting on February 15
  • You are available for 32 or 40 hours
  • *Hourly base salary of €13,77 + an hourly allowance of €1,50
  • Irregularity fee of 200% on a public holiday
  • In addition, you will receive 25 vacation days and 8% vacation pay
  • A travel allowance of €0.19 per kilometer (max. 50 km one way)
  • Directly on contract with Cygnific
  • Discount on your health insurance, pension plan and IPB flights after one year of employment
