Summary of Abstract

What do you think of when you think of "customer service"? Hanging on the phone for minutes until you are helped, when you have to listen to James Blunt? Then you have never spoken to the customer service agents of KLM! They can't wait to help travellers with questions about their KLM journey. Are you also full of energy, wanderlust and customer-friendliness? Then become a travel troubleshooter at KLM!

As a Customer Service Agent you are the ears and voice of KLM. This will be your work:

  • Answering incoming questions from customers, via telephone or social media. The questions mainly concern existing and new bookings and you will provide information to passengers about flights, tickets, fares, upgrades and the Flying Blue program
  • Guiding and helping customers in navigating through the different sources of information to arrive at an answer
  • Formulating and reformulating customer problems/questions to understand what the customer really means/wants
  • De-escalating customer complaints by looking for a solution that represents both the interests of KLM and the customer

In short, for every problem you will quickly find a suitable solution, where possible you take that extra step to exceed the expectations of passengers.

This is a job for 32 or 40 hours a week. There are different start dates in June or July!

Cygnific/KLM offers a 24/7 service. This means that you must be flexible and agree to irregular shifts (morning, afternoon, and in the evening). There is also the option to swap a shift with a colleague.

Before you start working independently, you will receive a paid training. The training will be for the first 8 weeks (Monday to Friday from 09.00 – 17.30), of which the last week is a so-called Coaching Corner, where an experienced colleague will guide you. During the training, the technical systems are extensively discussed. The training will be entirely from the office. After 6-8 months you can partly work from home.

The KLM customer service is part of the Cygnific organization, they also provide customer service for other organizations, such as Rituals & G-Star RAW. Cygnific is an innovative company with an emphasis on providing the ultimate customer experience, in line with the vision of the brand it represents. Their goal is to become the most personalized customer service in the world. You work together with international colleagues.
