Summary of Abstract

This organisation is responsible for 80 different brands, including Café Chocolat, Mercure, LEON, Starbucks and the Heineken Bar. As a shift manager you will be managing a team of up to 15 colleagues and together you will ensure that the day runs smoothly.
Your tasks will consist of:

  • Coaching a team of hospitality employees
  • Coordinating the work 
  • Training of (new) team members
  • Placing orders & replenishing stock
  • Supervising the correct execution of processes (including working conditions and hygiene) and thinking about optimisations
  • Participating in internal consultations with managers
  • Helping colleagues with all common activities at the location, especially during busy moments.You will be supervised by your superiors, to make sure you are developing yourself as well. You will receive various training and courses for this and there is plenty of room to grow within this large, international organisation.

The company is looking for shift managers who are available to work 38 hours a week. Due to their location at Schiphol, the various branches are often open 24 hours a day.

You will work in shifts of 8 hours a day. When creating the schedule, travel options with public transport are always taken into account. This way you can always go home after your shift. In addition, you will be free for at least 1 weekend in every three weeks and you will be free for 2 sequent days in the other weeks, when possible!

This organisation is responsible for catering concepts at airports and train stations. They work worldwide with approximately 10,000 colleagues. Their portfolio includes 80 brands, ranging from well-known food chains to luxury bars. Much attention is paid to the growth of employees. There are plenty of career opportunities, both in the Netherlands and internationally. Furthermore, you will not only have colleagues in your own location, but your colleagues will work all over Schiphol.   • 1 year of relevant experience
  • At least a MBO-diploma
  • Diploma in hospitality is a pré
  • You are very clear in your way of communicating with others & you know what you want
  • Working on the “floor” with your colleagues gives you energy!
  • You transfer your enthusiasm & positivity to your team
  • Your monthly salary will be between €2.000 – €2.400
  • Temporary bonus of 15% on top of your salary during summer(until September)
  • Free parking during summer!
  • You will receive 25 vacation days based on 38 hours a week & 8,33% percent holiday fees
  • A travel allowance of €0,19 per km with a max. of €15,20 per day
  • With the staff pass you will receive a 50% discount on food and drinks at (almost) all sales points in the Netherlands.
  • You will receive a so-called 53rd week of salary (for a full calendar year from 1 Jan – 1 Jan).
  • From your second contract onwards, you can buy products with tax benefits. You can choose from a laptop, iPad, mobile phone (including subscription), a bicycle or a fitness subscription. We will of course remind you of this opportunity as soon as you can take advantage of it.
